Hello...
What's the current best approach for setting up a Wordpress Multisite installation, with mapped domains (a different top level domain for each site), and issue each with SSL?
Here's the approach I was taking:
- Install WP with
--wpsubdomain
- Add
define('COOKIE_DOMAIN', $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] );
to wp-config.php
- Go through the usual routine of adding each sub-site, and then editing it to replace sub-domain URI with TLD URI.
- ... ?? How to issue the SSL certificates?
I found this post. The answer suggest doing a manual SSL install using acme.sh
, but when I try to run acme.sh
it doesn’t seem to be in the current $PATH (returns, acme.sh: command not found
).
it's obviously installed, as I was able to use --le
to install an SSL on the primary multisite domain.
It's about here that I figured I should ask for some advice.
Is it just a matter of adding acme.sh
to the $PATH? E.g., Add export PATH="$PATH:/etc/letsencrypt"
to ~/.bashrc
I am being somewhat cautious, as I am not sure why /etc/letsencrypt
isn't already in the path.
Thanks, Jonathan
