If I install --fail2ban on the stack, does it only protect in WordOps dashboard or also in Wordpress?
Gabriel WordOps fail2ban configurations consist of various filters/jails that take care of SSH & FTP Ports, WP Login Page, Forbidden Files, DDOS, etc.
Gabriel I'm afraid I didn't understand your question very well, but I can say Fail2Ban works on server level, not on site level only.
it does protect wp-login , filter name is wo-wordpress.conf you can edit and add more rules if you want to
Thank you all for helping with this issue! 😃
I installed --fail2ban and I was testing it in the wp-login.php, the funny thing was that I made about 50 login attempts and the connection never blocked, so I guess it is not effective against brute force.
search up in google how to configure fail2ban for wordpress you will find more rules to play with for WordPress. add all those rules in wo-wordpress.conf and restart the service
