Webp redirection to converter on demand - Webp express plugin

Hi,
I have problem loading webp images that have been not converted yet.

Image that exists:
https://eventmanager.sk/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/horsky1-1-768×511.jpeg.webp
Image that doesn’t exist:
https://eventmanager.sk/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/LOGO-AHF3.0-02-300×300.jpg.webp

The plugin has option to convert images if they don't exist yet. Should this work of the box with Wordops or is there some conf. tweaking needed?

I tried all the options to rewrite rules in nginx configuration specified here without any success:

Can you please help me?

PS: Convert on upload is not an option since users may upload many images and I don’t want to slow upload time.

I messed something and now none of the files is loading. Anyway, I was able to load one of them before, the one that already exists on the server. That's the point.

Does it have the option to convert pictures on demand (instead of on upload)? I don't see it in plugin desc.

Warp iMagick plugin works just fine with WordOps default configuration.
Download it from WordPress Repository and watch for next version release on the Github.

Warp iMagick plugin does not convert "on demand" but you can convert all using regenerate-thumbnails plugin.

PS: Convert on upload is not an option since users may upload many images and I don’t want to slow upload time.

You could disable WebP Convert while uploading, then enable WebP and batch regenerate recent uploads.
