... because it needs to be said -- THANK YOU, VIRTUBOX, FOR PROVIDING WORDOPS, for those of us that were orphaned by EasyEngine. From the start, when I saw what EasyEngine did in their disastrous rewrite of EE for their 4.0, I know this was not going to go well for those that relied on EE ... and so it was.
I was set on basically just sticking with the orphaned EE, when I found out about Wordops.
What a blessing!
I had received some prior help from Virtubox about installing PHP 7 updates onto my EE installed server, and you were extremely helpful making that happen - so when I saw that you forked EE, and enhanced it with everything that I had always hoped for, I was happy to shift gears. (though I was sad about seeing the mail server installation go away - then again, EE's virus scanning never really worked well - and I am now using mail-in-a-box running on a separate box ... I can only highly recommend it, for anyone looking for an excellent mail server)
While, currently, migrations from EE installations are somewhat rickety and problematic, I really like how well it works when you install everything from scratch (which I might end up doing, if there are some decent ways to do this via some sort of backup and restore, to help with established sites)...
So, again, THANK YOU!
