Hello,
Webp
I just noted that Webp conversion is already supported on Wordpress 6.1 at https://make.wordpress.org/core/2022/09/11/webp-in-core-for-6-1/
In this post at https://make.wordpress.org/core/2022/03/28/enabling-webp-by-default/
it show how to generate webp image for the images uploaded before.
I just confirmed it works as expected, in WP 5.9.2, Performance Lab 1.0.0-beta.3, WP-CLI 2.6.0 and Regenerate Thumbnails 3.1.5.
That is, without Performance Lab active (or with its Enable WebP Uploads setting off), uploaded a JPEG to the site. Then activated Performance Lab (and turned on Enable WebP Uploads) and then ran wp media regenerate: the WebP versions of the image were successfully created. Same with repeating the above, but instead of using WP-CLI, I installed/activated Regenerate Thumbnails and ran it’s row action from the Media Library: the WebP versions were successfully created.
Persistent Object Cache
Once, performance-lab(https://wordpress.org/plugins/performance-lab/) activated, it show:
Persistent Object Cache Health Check Persistent Object Cache Health Check Persistent Object Cache Health Check is already part of your WordPress version and therefore cannot be loaded as part of the plugin.
Adds a persistent object cache check for sites with non-trivial amounts of data in Site Health status.
Question please?
Does that mean we can deactivate the plugin of Redis Object Cache(https://wordpress.org/plugins/redis-cache/)?
It would be great if you can leave your comment and suggestions.
