Hello WordOps,
I'm curious about your perspective on the performance comparison between the two operating systems. If I were to set up a web server at home, equipped with an i7 CPU with an NVME drive, and install WordOps, which operating system do you believe would offer the most responsiveness or speed?
- Ubuntu 22 Server ISO = 1.98GB
- Ubuntu 20 Server ISO = 1.42GB
- Debian 12 ISO = 628 MB
I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the three options. In my opinion, the ISO size serves as a reasonable indicator of the potential "extra stuff" that might be installed, but I'm curious about which option will provide the best performance. From 20 to 22 Ubuntu is getting another +600 MB of "stuff" and that's almost the size of Debian 12 alone... 🤯
