Very interested in but new to the project. Unsure of whether some things I would like to add would be inline with the project goals, ie:

options for scripting post-install actions to modify WordPress (remove Hello Dolly!, disable XML-RPC, etc)
choice of ClassicPress when provisioning

Hello,
it seems to be more related to WP-CLI (used in WordOps to automate wordpress install) than to WordOps. We mostly focus on stack deployment automation.

What would be the recommended way to automate the whole thing? ie, if one wanted to setup WO on a new VPS, then run their provisioning, is there an event we should listen for to know WO is done or perhaps needs a new Ansible playbook for WO?

Or simply do the WO stuff via SSH, load your provisioning shell script and then run it?

leonstafford if you are looking for a way to automate your server setup, I have published a bash script for WordOps on Github which include few additional features not available in WordOps (yet) : https://github.com/VirtuBox/wo-nginx-setup.
Feel free to fork it and to customize it to meet your needs. With WP-CLI, it will be pretty easy to automate plugins install/removal. Here an excellent script example with WP-CLI : https://guides.wp-bullet.com/wp-cli-wordpress-provision-script-for-new-installations/

About Ansible, WordOps will probably be redundant because you can do the same with a playbook than WordOps without having to install WordOps.
