I don't have fail2ban installed and ufw is not configured. However, I noticed I entered the incorrect sftp password a couple of times. Both times it seems like my ip address was blocked for about a minute. I couldn't access the website or sftp files so it seems like I was being blocked on all ports. At first I thought the server had crashed. This is actually good to have brute force protection. However I can't figure out where this is coming from. Does wordops have something else besides fail2ban that would block an ip address?
