What are the default behaviors of WO during upgrades regarding nginx config files?
I normally make all my application-related config file changes in custom files located in /var/www/domain.tld/conf/nginx directory. This has worked great until today.
I need to override a config parameter in the locations-wo config file. The challenge is the stacking does not allow me to override the parameter. I have the need to have a colon within the URL. The locations-wo.conf has a deny all for any URL containing a colon.
location ~ "(~|<|>|:|;|%|\\|\s|\{|\}|\[|\]|\|)" {
deny all;
}
I tried to place this in a custom config file, but it does not override the initial value. The below was properly placed within a location /directory/ parameter.
location ~ "(:)" {
allow all;
}
My options are
- a) update the locations-wo.conf file
- b) create a custom version of locations-wo.conf and update the domain.tld config file.
Is there another option? Which choice is the better option based on Wo upgrade behaviors?
thanks
