marty What's the thinking behind this in the php conf files (php72.conf etc): try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php$is_args$args; The problem is it breaks 404 handling on a php (non WordPress) site, i.e. any page that should be 404 gets written to index as 200.
marty This seems to be a carry over from easy engine. I'm just working around it with custom conf files where necessary, but it seems to be undesirable as the default behaviour. Unless I'm missing something?
VirtuBox Hello marty, this is the standard directive to get seo friendly url with the most part of php based applications.
marty I guess it depends what you're installing :-) I've found I keep removing it, unless it's a WordPress site so then wondered why it wasn't part of the wpcommon config.
