Custom Ubuntu 18 image with Wordops installed to use?

Hello everyone

I got issue after wordops update v 3.11.4.

In this case, seems there is no way update/remove/reinstall wordops.

To avoid this situation, is there an Custom Ubuntu 18 image with stable Wordops version installed to use for server deployment?

Or, is there anyway to make a custom image of Ubuntu 18 with stable Wordops version please?

I don't think there's such custom image, unless someone willing to share their own.

For the future it's always a good idea to create a backup image, they are generally called server snapshots, and many hosting providers do offer this service, like Vultr, DigitalOcean, Linode (images), etc. So before upgrading to the new release/version ALWAYS do a snapshot of your server just in case something like this happens.

Yes, that is really a great way, but this time, I forgot to backup with snapshot.

I got this issue:

In this situation, all of the following do not work:

bash wo --force
sudo rm /usr/local/bin/wo
sudo rm /usr/local/bin/wo && wget -qO wo wops.cc && sudo bash wo

That means I can not remove/reinstall wordops, or force update wordops since all of WO command line not work, and the only what I can do is just waiting for next version release to fix it.

So, I am just thinking the possibility to create a Ubuntu 18 image with Wordops stable version installed but before site created.

AFAIK there is no custom image.

It's one line to install, why do would you need a custom image from someone?

Have you tried starting from a fresh image? I've installed WordOps dozens of times now without any issues.

jond1 yes, both on digitalicean server end and local Linux server, but always same issue.

i already tried at least more than thirty times.

In theory, a custom linux image with WordOps already installed is a good idea. I can do this on the Google Cloud Platform, by:

Spinning up an image
Running apt-update/upgrade
Installing WordOps
Creating an image from the current instance.

The problem is I'm not sure I can export the image for use on another service provider.
