I've searched, but can't find a resolution.
Does anyone know how to create a self-signed SSL for a domain?
I have a domain on another server right now, served over SSL, and I want to transfer it by using localhosts for testing, but can't because of the SSL issue.
Anyone have success doing this?
After some digging, this worked like a charm
The only difference is that nginx was complaining about ssl on; being deprecated, so I added "ssl" to the listen directive.
Since I'm using Cloudflare, I made sure to remove these entries before taking my site live, to ensure no SSL issues. I'm using Cloudflare for SSL termination between the user and the the browser, so the host doesn't use any SSL at all. All behind a private VPC in AWS.
