I have a Ubuntu server in DO. Any time that I installed a new WP site the amount of RAM available obviously decreases, but if I delete that WP site, the amount of RAM available remains as if the the WP site were still installed. Are there any way of cleaning up any registry of that deleted site?
babyjungle What's the command that you used to install the stack and then the website? If you didn't have the stack installed before running the Website Installation, you will surely notice the RAM not returning to the previous stats as the server now have NGINX, PHP, MySQL etc installed.
I used wo stack install.
I mean after installing the stack, the RAM available is around 60%. Then after my first WP site, gets down to around 49%, but if I delete the WP site, the RAM continue at 49%.
babyjungle the RAM continue at 49%
You don't want unused RAM on your server, and Linux knows that. So, it uses RAM at its maximum before swapping and/or garbage collecting.
In other words, it's expected to have as much RAM as possible in use at any time. So, I can't see any real issue on what you say.
