jond1 Hello,
--wpredis
will always try to install a local redis server, but you can easily stop the service with service redis-server stop && systemctl disable redis-server
.
To use a remote redis server for Nginx full-page cache, you will have to update redis upstream in /etc/conf.d/upstream.conf :
# Redis cache upstream
upstream redis {
server Remote-redis-server-IP:6379;
keepalive 10;
}
For object-caching with the plugin redis-object-cache, you will have to add the following line in your wp-config.php :
define( 'WP_REDIS_HOST ', 'REMOTE.REDIS.SERVER.IP' );
