I found out that the nginx version that comes with WordOps does not have the modules-dir or the geoip2 build configuration.
What I have to achieve is: blocking countries and ASN as per the mmdb file from maxmind. They have an updated database issued time to time
nahinakbar I haven't tried it personally but you may achieve this with @VirtuBox 's NGINX-EE Script: https://github.com/VirtuBox/nginx-ee
Here is how you can add the custom modules using that script: https://github.com/VirtuBox/nginx-ee/wiki/Nginx-modules
Wouldn't this nginx version get replaced in the next WordOps version? What if there are compatibility issues?
nahinakbar Both WordOps and NGINX-EE are maintained by the same guy so they are quite compatible with each other. It won't be replaced as WordOps detects that you're using NGINX-EE. In the worst scenario, if it is replaced, it should take just 5 minutes to do the procedure again.
