marty Trying to update from v3.15.4 to v3.16.1. wo update confirms successful but it's still on the old version. Same on a couple of servers tried. Anyone else seeing the same issue? sudo wo update Downloading update script [Done] updating WordOps, please wait... Welcome to WordOps install/update script v3.16.1 Installing wo dependencies [OK] Installing WordOps [OK] Running post-install steps [OK] Synchronizing wo database, please wait... WordOps (wo) upgrade to v3.16.1 was succesfull! sudo wo -v WordOps v3.15.4
marty Thanks. Hmm... so tried above but it failed part way through. The wo install log ends on: line 427: cd: too many arguments I also tried with just --force but same result my post above - wo confirms successful but it's still on the old version.
marty Can anyone confirm they have upgraded wo from v3.15.4 directly to v3.16.1 (in one go, and wo -v confirms the upgrade worked)?
dnajcz The same for me: after "wo update" I got "WordOps (wo) upgrade to v3.16.1 was succesfull!" but when I check "wo --version" I still get "WordOps v3.15.4". It seems there is an old download package on update server...
portofacil marty I don't know. I really can't help here. My suggestion would be getting another VPS, installing WO from zero and migrating the websites. But people use to get offended bu such a suggestion, I've been avoiding to make it.
marty Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.4.0-1093-aws x86_64) Awesome, thanks. I had two servers where wo was failing to update - and both of those are Ubuntu 18.04 too. So I updated one to 20.04 and then wo updated/installed OK. I did some digging into the code/debugging but once I figured it looks to be 18.04 related it wasn't really worth going any further. 18.04 is end of standard support in a few months anyway so these servers were scheduled to be upgraded shortly. So I don't know why the upgrade doesn't work on 18.04, but it may not be worth fixing?
dnajcz Hi. I upgraded Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04 and then WO reinstalled OK with the command: wget -qO wo wops.cc && sudo bash wo. Thanks, David.
