Does bunnycdn reverse proxy really work on wordops??

I try to use bunny reverse proxy but it didn't work. I ask their support they said all are fine. I am guessing zstandard issue on post request but again it even dont work even bunny said it is fixed.

"it didn't work" isn't a lot to go on. 🙂
What do Bunny say to do/check? I'd suggest checking Bunny error logs, and your server error/access logs to see what's actually happening.
Maybe it's rate limiting - checked the Fail2ban logs? Have you whitelisted the Bunny IP's?

Only wordpress login and logout dont work other than that everything works. So, nothing works

There's just not enough information provided to help properly.
Maybe check the origin url in bunny is set to https.
Otherwise try a login and trace things through the various log files to see what is or isn't happening.

I contacted their support and test it in all my domains even though it is work in nginx side. Cloudflare also work. Only when only add bunny cdn as reverse proxy it didn't work. They said i am the single user on the plannet that has this weird problem. I really want to make sure I am the one who face this problem. To be fair, unless someone use bunnycdn as reverse proxy I cannot confirm their claim. I believe the the issue is wordops doesn't have support zstandard so when the post request is zstandard it fails.

Does really fail2ban log check helps. I really dont think so. But I have to check this last part. Not sure why fail2ban blocks because i tested cloudflare, cloudfront both are working. If i dont have any 500 or 400 error where u checked. Unless someone checks bunny as reverse proxy I cannot deny or agree their claims.
How can default server configuration which i dont add anything blocks bunny because in previous times, i was given har files and they said zstandard post request sending but since nginx is not getting as gzip, brotli causing the error. I request in future update, wordops comes with zstandard compresssion support.

I suggested those things when all you provided was "I try to use bunny reverse proxy but it didn't work." Now we know that generally it DOES work, and it is only WordPress login that doesn't.

This makes no sense.

So as I then suggested: have you checked the origin url in bunny is set to https? (I suspect you're using http and the issue is therefore the auth cookie).

Zstandard compression is like gzip brotli compression but another format.

It is always https origin url otherwise wordops always redirect or dont work. First u have to give another site https url and from that url it makes localhost connection via host header to the same ip. Thats how every reverse proxy in bunnycdn possible. Cookie rejecting based http may be valid one. But how do you solve it. Since your all traffic goes through ip and then host headers. One critical thing i would like mentioned if i loggedin then i activate bunny via dns then it worked. then nginx purge is not working. It gives 504 but caching for loggedin work since i loggedin before cdn activation. Now logout is not working. So, no matter what i do loggedin loggedout wordpress not working and if i loggedin nginx purge is not working. So, the issue is on zstandard post request is the issue. After loggedin they gives home page on zstandard format in post request format. not get request. This is the clue bunny is the problem for zstandard nginx.

It is currently not possible to remove zstd (or any encoding parameters). Our Engineering team are making changes to better handle (ignore) compression with POST; but unfortunately I do not have an exact ETA for this. I keep you posted on the matter.

Previous ticket on bunny support said this. I hope that someone checks bunnycdn reverse proxy on wordops then they guide me otherwise I have to use cloudflare.

But you just posted a message saying they were working on a fix..!? So which is it?
I'm sure 'every wordpress server' does work fine... as a CDN, which is what everyone uses Bunny for. I'd guess pretty much nobody is using it as a reverse proxy though. But maybe they are and it does work - hard to say without any solid information.

If you just want it to work, then yeah, why not just use Cloudflare?

Otherwise you need to post clear information about what is or isn't happening, and provide the relevant log entries if you want anyone to be able to help you.

another question is i dont use bunny plugin in wordpress does that a problem?? I really dont believe it is a problem for reverse proxy

So Bunny as a reverse proxy has an issue/bug with handling POST/cookie flows required by WordPress authentication. And they have confirmed they are working on fixing it. That's your answer. Cloudflare works because it does not alter these headers. WordOps is not the problem.

No, thats not the answer because bunny said the issue is fixed. I am the only one who complains it. Otherwise every wordpress server they claim it works. I really have no way of verifying it since i am running wordops only on vpsdime ubuntu. I tell them to install wordops they said they will never do that. because third party application they never run.
