jond1 You'll be able to find a wider audience of help if you ask a forum more specific to Sendmail. https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/sendmail This forum is for WordOps.
JuanMaia if the forum is for wordops, then we can not ask questions about sendmail, mysql, nginx, php etc. with your statement. I apologize
portofacil JuanMaia Don't be silly. You may ask whatever you want, and it's very desirable to be thankful to the folks who try to help suggesting more adequate forums for your doubt.
adilcpm You could try to async the email sending system, which it would result in no delay in the front-end.
JuanMaia @portofacil @marty, I did several researches before reaching the community, even stackoverflow. I found this kind of related problem and the suggestion was to set up a real FQDN and still the problem persists. I'm still researching..
marty JuanMaia set up a real FQDN and still the problem persists. I'm still researching.. Not to labour the point :-) but have you rebooted and the hostname is still there (there's a way to do it temporarily and a way to make it permanent)? And have you fully set the subdomain up so it has valid DNS records?
